HOLIDAY REGION MAYRHOFEN - HIPPACH

The scenic village of Mayrhofen lies 630 m above sea level and is the last main village of the Ziller valley – the heart of Tirol and Austria.

The village is the figurehead of Austrian alpine tourism and manages to combine centuries of tradition with modern touristical innovations, just like traditional farmhouses and luxurious hotels effortlessly combine to create an ideal holiday atmosphere where you can get active or relax in so many ways.

The distinctive mountains of the Zillertal Alps and Tux Alps, with their peaks of over 3000 metres, provide the perfect bnatural backdrop for a number of activities allowing each and every visitor to find something for their liking.

South of Mayrhofen, the valley splits into four smaller ones. Exploring these areas of outstanding natural beauty is an endless task. Your imagination and urge to explore has no limits. More good news: the cable cars and lifts can help you on your explorations, taking you as far as 3400 metres above sea level at the Hintertux glacier, where you can ski all year round or admire the beauty of a natural ice palace in the inside of the glacier itself.
